We, here at Larke Kennels, raise all our
puppies in our home. They are exposed to various household sights
and sounds. When weather permits, they are taken outside to our
outside puppy kennel yard for a few hours daily. We have frequent
visits from our 4 grandchildren ranging from 1 year to 8 years old,
which is great exposure to children.
We strive to breed for healthy puppies and for
temperaments for pet companions. All of our dogs have either field
or show titled dogs in their pedigrees. One puppy sired by one
our males is competing in the Dock Dogs and has placed. We have
produced puppies that have become good hunters. We recommend
socialization begins as soon as your puppy gets home. Also, an
obedience class is highly recommended for your puppy.
Our puppies come with a 26 month guarantee
that covers hips, elbows and retinal dysplasia. Pups have dewclaws
removed by a vet, been wormed, first series of shots and vet checked at 6
weeks old. We require $150 non-refundable deposit to hold your pick.
We take deposits ahead of time. The deposit t is refundable if the
desired color and sex is not born. You may also transfer that
deposit to another litter. Prices vary from litter to litter, plus
sales tax. Contact us for info. We reserve the right to keep the
first pick open from a litter for ourselves. We charge $10/day
boarding fee if puppy is at our kennel more than 2 days after the
designated pick-up date.
NEW PA STATE LAW - As of Dec. 8, 2008 puppies can not leave our
kennel until they are 8 weeks old!
All puppies are sold on limited
registration. Breeding rights will be permitted once the OFA and
CERF certifications have been obtained. Copies of the certifications
must be sent to the breeder.
We permit visitors when puppies are 4 weeks
old by appointment. This is to protect the puppies due to a lower
immune system. We post updates of the litters once they are
born on our website as time permits.
You are welcome to visit Larke Lab Kennels
to see all our dogs by appointment only.
Our puppies are fed
Eukanuba Large Breed puppy
food. We strongly recommend keeping them on this food. If you feel
the need to change, please keep them on a quality large breed puppy
food.

with trainer, Curt Fry, of Slamming Point Kennel, north of
Pittsburgh Pa. He ran a NAVHDA Natural Ability Test on June 3, 2006.
He earned a "Prize 1" with a score of 112. He will be

his hips and his elbows are normal. He has a clear CERF.

She is conditioned to deliver birds to hand. She is a very friendly
dog and loves people young and old. Bella qualified with a Prize 3
in her NAVHDA Natural Ability test at the age 9 months.
