Puppy Information

Welcome to our puppy page! Below you’ll find important information about our kennel and what we do to strive to raise a healthy, well-rounded puppy.

At Larke Lab Kennels we have chocolate, black and yellow Labrador Retrievers. Our puppies are born and raised in our home and they are socialized so they will fit right into your home. We have grandchildren and other young family members, who love playing with our pups! Our puppies are exposed to various household sights and sounds. When weather permits, they are taken outside daily to our puppy yard for a few hours.

We strive to breed for healthy puppies and for temperaments as pet companions. All of our dogs have either field or show titled dogs in their pedigrees. Two puppies sired by our males have competed in the Dock Dogs and have placed. We have a pup that is in training for a service dog for a disabled Veteran and one is a therapy dog for PTSD. Two littermate sisters assisted in saving a drowning man. We have produced numerous puppies that have become good hunters and hunt test dogs.

We recommend socialization as soon as your puppy gets home. Also, an obedience class is highly recommended for your puppy.

Our puppies come with a 26-month guarantee that covers hips, elbows and eyes. We guarantee our puppies not to be EIC and CNM affected. Pups have been wormed, first series of shots and vet checked at 7-8 weeks old.

Our puppies are fed a quality large breed puppy food. Contact breeder for details. We strongly recommend keeping them on this food until the pup adjust to his new environment. If you feel the need to change, please keep them on a quality large breed puppy food.

We require $150 non-refundable deposit to hold your pick. We take deposits ahead of time. The deposit is refundable only if the desired color and sex is not born. You may also transfer that deposit to another litter. Prices vary from litter to litter, plus sales tax. Contact us for info. I accept personal checks for deposit only. We charge $20/day boarding fee if puppy is at our kennel after the designated pick-up date. All puppies are sold on limited registration. We reserve the right to keep the first pick open from a litter at any time.

Our adult dogs are all housebroken and are a part of our family. They do not spend their life in a kennel. They receive the best medical care possible from Dr. Mark Michelotti of Centre Animal Hospital, who visits our kennel for their exams. All sires and dams have had their hips, elbows, eyes and heart OFA certified prior to being in our breeding program. They are fed a high-quality dog food. The most important thing they are given is a lot of love and attention. We usually do no more than two litters at a time and most often it is just one. We have four acres fenced in that they are able to run and play numerous times throughout the day.

We permit visitors when puppies are 6 weeks old by appointment only. This is to protect the puppies due to a developing immune system. We try to post weekly pictures/video updates of the litters on our Facebook page and via emails as time permits. You are welcome to visit our kennel to see all our dogs/puppies by appointment only.

NEW! We are now microchipping all puppies!

We do not ship puppies at this time!

PA STATE LAW – Puppies cannot leave our kennel until they are 8 weeks old!
